I was running errands and getting my hair done before work, so today was comfy clothes day. I wore a purple trench and silver flats with this.
Also, cherry red lipstick: My new favorite thing? Maybe. What do you guys think?

Hey Guys! This outfit is for spirit week this week, and today’s theme is each grade level gets a color and has to wear that color. Seniors got black which I have a lot of so I wasn’t upset that all the other grade levels got actual colors. I have also been wanting to play around with this skirt, and I like this look so much it might be a regular thing.
Johnny Cash Shirt-Walmart
Skirt-Another Thyme(goodwill find)
Belt-Stolen from mother with no intent of giving it back. I also have no idea where she got it.

So this morning I over-slept and had 15 minutes to get ready and catch my bus before my 8:30 class. With no time to wash my hair, I threw in a little dry shampoo, teased the back up, and braided in my Maude look. A v-neck pocket tee from Target ($8) with Sean’s vintage cardigan looked easy and warm. The jeans are also from Target ($17.99 Mossimo skinny in a 17). The tapestry shoes Sean gave to me as a gift and are by Van’s.
I’m just dotty about fashion…
While clashing (while not really clashing) patterns are in right now, I decided to mix similar patterns (a more subtle take on what I did here) for an all over dotty outfit.
The best thing to remember when using patterns- the smaller the print, the smaller those areas will look, the larger the print, the larger those areas will look. So with that in mind, I paired a white and navy tiny polka dot print mini skirt with a white and navy large polka dot sweater. The bow belt helped cinch my waist while simultaneously creating a visual line to divide up the spots, thus enhancing my curves instead of turning me into a beach ball.
And, with the classic blue and white coloring, it was all too easy to slip on some red platform heels (previously seen here) that perfectly matched my hair and lips. Just call me Miz America.
